Last year at this time when I was finishing 5th grade, I thought 6th grade was going to be very hard.
Actually, I found out that 6th grade was in between easy and hard.
I thought remembering my locker combination was going to be hard but it turned out to be easy.
I thought all my classes were going to be easy but they turned out to be hard.
Something I had no idea about but turned out to be important was bringing my instrument to band class every day. We would do nothing if we didn't bring it.
August 14 was the first day of school. I remember playing the name game in advisory.
During August after school activities began. I participated in Boys Basketball and I remember being shouted at because I made a mistake.
September 20 we had class retreats. I remember running around and swimming in the pool.
Tom Birdseye visited our school. He discussed about how he wrote his books in Humanities. Using his T-chart with actions and obstacles.
We took ISA tests in October. They were in between easy and hard.
We had a big break from October 14 - 20. I went to Thailand for my October break.
Parent conferences were in late October. They made me feel a bit nervous about what comments I would get.
I got my first middle school report card and it wasn't that bad. I had gotten honor roll
At the Halloween Carnival I had lots of fun. I beat Mr. Haque at the Balance beam game with the noodle.
At the recognition assemblies I was recognized for honor roll.
I performed in a concert. I played a duet with Shashank an the song was Erie Canal Capers
We went on a class trip to Thailand from March 2-6. I remember I ate a chili pepper and went crazy and also battled against Mr. Hansen, Mr. Haque, and Jordi
There were a lot of changes this year. Something I was really good at was doing the million meter challenge. I ran 7 laps every day.
Something I wasn't so good at was keeping my locker organized. Ok! I admit that I was horrible at it.
Something I would like to improve on is my fractions in math class.
I helped someone else
Spring Break was April 6-12. I went to England for my Spring break and saw snow for the first time.
Some of my classmates are leaving. My best friends Edward and Thomas are two of them.
Next year I am hoping I can make new friends.

I enjoyed reading your blog. Eating chili peppers and going crazy during your class trip does sound memorable! Have a fun and safe summer and best wishes in 7th grade.
Sincerely,
Ms. Dietz
